Screen basics
Where the menu appears is decided by screen width, not by device (the threshold is 600px).
Narrow screens (under 600px — phones, etc.)
A menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen. From the left: Home / Menu / Notifications / Rankings (four items).
Wide screens (600px or more — PC, tablets, etc.)
A menu appears on the left of the screen. In addition to those four, Start now / Create session / Join by ID line up just below them.
Narrow the window on a PC and you get the bottom bar; turn a phone landscape and, if it's wide enough, you get the left menu. The available features are the same either way.
The "How to use" button on each screen
The header (top bar) of the main screens carries a "?" icon button (hover over it, or press and hold, and it reads "How to use"). Pressing it opens the chapter of this guide that matches that screen in a separate tab.
The button is on Home / the menu / Notifications / Ranking / Profile / My List / Promo code / Log in & sign up / Join by ID / session details / Comments / the jam board / Create session (the management hub) / the session create & edit form / Co-hosts. If your display language is Japanese, the Japanese guide opens instead.
Contact us (reaching the operator)
Send questions, requests, or bug reports from Menu → "Contact us". You can send a message even without logging in.
- You only enter your message (up to 2,000 characters).
- So we can reply, your name and email address are sent with it (the screen shows exactly what is included). If you aren't registered, these show as "not set" and we cannot reply.
- Tap "Send" and you're done.
ℹIf you need a reply, please send your message while logged in (without an email address we have no way to answer).
Add as an app
Session Concierge works both as an Android app and in your browser. On Android, get it from Google Play. On iPhone and desktop, use the browser — you can add it to your home screen and open it from an icon like any other app (the address bar disappears and you get more screen space).
ℹThe steps below are for using it in a browser. If you installed it from Google Play, you don't need them.
- Open the site in Chrome and a bar appears at the very top ("You can add this as an app"). Tap "Add" and confirm. The bar appears regardless of screen width (same place on a phone or a PC).
- If you closed the bar with "Later" (the × button), you can still add it from "Add as an app" at the top of the menu.
- If neither is shown, use Chrome's ⋮ menu → "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
💡Once you close the bar it won't come back (a notice that reappears every time would just get in the way). You can still add it from the menu.
ℹ"Add as an app" may not appear: when it is already installed, on Safari for iPhone (which doesn't support this method — use Share → "Add to Home Screen" instead), or when the browser isn't ready to install.
What's in the "Menu"
Open the menu and you'll find everything gathered here (what shows up varies by membership type).
- Add as an app: Shown right under the logo, at the very top of the menu. It appears only when your browser is ready to add it to your home screen (see below).
- Create: ⚡ Start now / ▦ Create session / # Join by ID
- Settings & account: Language / Profile / My List / Notifications / Promo code / Blocked users / Sign out
When you are not logged in, only "Sign in" appears just below Language (Profile, My List, Notifications, Promo code, Blocked users, and Sign out are not shown).
- Legal & contact: Near the bottom of the menu, grouped in the order Terms of Service → Privacy Policy → Contact us (all shown even when you're not logged in). Contact us is the way to reach the operator, and it's the contact point named in the Terms and Privacy Policy (you can send a message even without logging in). See below.
An "Admin" entry appears below them only when you are logged in as an administrator.
💡You can switch the language in two places: the JA / EN at the top right of the home screen (the currently selected one is shown in darker text), and "Language" in the menu (labelled "表示言語 / Language" in Japanese). Both control the same setting, and your chosen language is saved on this device, so it's kept next time you open the app. You can switch even without logging in.
ℹThe app is available in Japanese and English. When you switch to EN, the interface text becomes English — but the options in the Area (prefecture), Part, and Region dropdowns stay in Japanese unless an English name has been registered (the master data can hold an English name; when it is empty the Japanese name is shown). The admin screens are also Japanese only.
💡At the top right of the home screen, your own icon also appears while you're logged in. Tapping it takes you to your profile (or to the login screen if you're not logged in).
