Find and join a session

The home screen has three tabs.

• Open: A list of public sessions. Start looking here. It loads upcoming sessions (up to 200) and past sessions (up to 100), so upcoming ones are never pushed out as past ones pile up.
  By default, though, only upcoming sessions are listed. Finished and canceled ones appear once you tick "Show finished sessions" in the filters.
• Upcoming: Sessions you've applied to (registered users).
• Saved: Sessions you've saved as favorites (registered users).

About "【練習】セッション 第〇回" (the practice session)

The list always contains a practice session you can use to try out how joining works. Its title is "【練習】セッション 第〇回" ("Practice session no. N" — the title is in Japanese only), and one is registered automatically every day at 17:00 (Japan time). You can apply and request songs in it just like in any other public session.

• The venue is a fictional one ("サンプルスタジオ（架空）", a made-up studio; the area is Tokyo). Nobody actually gathers there, so there is nowhere to go on the day. The notes field says so as well: "本セッションは練習用です。ご自由にお使いください" ("This session is for practice. Please feel free to use it.").
• It is held one week after it is registered, 19:00–23:00. It starts at Pre-announcement and moves on one step every 24 hours (Recruiting → Song requests open → Join others' songs → Open to all). You can try what each stage lets you do, one day at a time.
• Nothing in it is counted in the rankings at all. It enters none of the 6 types (Songs, Artists, Users, Attendance, Venues, Hosts), and it does not affect the order of the saved reference URL suggestions either. However much you play here, the real rankings stay clean, so try things freely.
  Only the tallying is switched off. What happens inside the session is exactly the same as a real one — posting a song, it becoming Ready, marking it Played, and how the jam board looks are no different from a real session. That is what makes it useful practice.

Search and filters

Above the list are a search box and filters. They are available on all three tabs — except that the Upcoming tab has no "Status" dropdown (it shows Confirmed / Waiting in its status column instead, so it does not filter by session status).

• Keyword: Search by session or venue name. It matches even partway through ("Sample Jam Session" is found by "Jam" too). It also absorbs differences in writing — upper/lower case, full-width vs half-width, katakana vs hiragana, and symbols (・ー&() etc.) or spaces are ignored while searching (so "ｌｉｖｅ ｈｏｕｓｅ" and "Live-House" both find "LIVE HOUSE", and「ライブハウス」and「らいぶはうす」are treated as the same).
• Date: All dates / Today / This weekend / This month / Upcoming
• Area: By prefecture
• Part: Only sessions recruiting that part
• Status: Announced / Recruiting / Live / Finished / Canceled (not shown on the Upcoming tab)
• Show finished sessions: Tick this and finished and canceled sessions appear in the list too. It is off by default, so only upcoming sessions (Announced, Recruiting, Live) are shown.
  While a single "Status" is selected, that selection takes priority and this checkbox is disabled. It appears on the Upcoming tab as well — with no Status dropdown there, this is the only way to bring past sessions back.

Per-page count and paging

At the very bottom of the list, the count appears, like "1–10 of N". To its right you can choose the number shown per page (10 / 30 / 50), and move between pages with ‹ ›. You can continue to the next page right from where you left off reading.

Sorting and columns

At first the list is ordered by status (Recruiting → Announced → Live → Finished → Canceled → Draft) → nearest date → session name.
That is the ordering rule — finished and canceled sessions (and drafts) are not shown by default. They appear within this order once you tick "Show finished sessions".

On wide screens each session becomes one row, with 12 columns: ☆ · Status · Session · Overview · Venue · Date · Start · End · Type · Fee · Fee notes · Session ID (the Upcoming tab adds a Part column). Clicking a column header sorts by that column, and clicking the same header again toggles ascending/descending (only the Part column can't be sorted). On narrow screens it's shown as cards, in the default order.

Reading session details

Open a session that interests you to see its details screen. You can view it even without logging in. The details are split into three tabs.

• Main: Status, type (Planned / Instant), a "Private" badge (private sessions only) / venue, date & time, fee / the parts-wanted table (with the Apply button) / the Participants list / overview and notes / cancellation deadline / "Open jam board" while it's Live / Linked sessions (when the session is linked as part of a recurring series).
  Hosts and co-hosts also see the session URL with a copy button, the "Progress" panel (session state, member sign-up, song stage), and the "Co-hosts" and "Edit" buttons.
• Songs: The list of registered songs (the heading shows the song count, like "Songs (3)")
• Comments: The message board (the heading shows total and unread, like "Comments 10(2)"; with nothing unread it's "Comments 10", and with no comments at all just "Comments")

Participants

Right below the parts-wanted table, under the heading "Participants", you can see who is joining on which part. People on the waitlist are marked "Waitlist", and the number in the heading is the count of confirmed participants (waitlisted people aren't counted). The order is confirmed → waitlisted, then by part and by name.

If the host has turned "Show participant list publicly" off in the creation form, this section is only shown to the host and co-hosts (hosts always see it, with "Private (hosts only)" next to the heading). People who have deleted their account appear as "Withdrawn".

You can apply to planned sessions before they start (registered users and up).

▲ The parts-wanted table (Part / Openings / Request limit). If there's a spot, "Apply" appears; if full, "Join waitlist". "Request limit" is how many songs you can put forward on that part on the day.

Application rules

1. Press "Apply" on the part you want. You can apply to only one part.
2. No host approval is needed. It's confirmed automatically on a first-come basis. If several people apply for the last spot at once, whoever pressed first is confirmed.
3. To cancel, press the "Registered ✕" label shown on that part. You can cancel after confirming.

When full: the waitlist

• For parts that have reached capacity, you can register on the waitlist.
• When a spot opens up, everyone on that part's waitlist is notified all at once.
• It's first come, first served. When the notification arrives, press the "Take the spot" button shown on your part in the session details. If you make it, you'll see "You're confirmed for this session."; if someone beats you to it, "Someone else got it first. You are still on the waitlist." It closes as soon as the spot is filled.

Cancellation deadline

The host picks the deadline per session from four options: Until start time (the default) / Until 12 hours before / Until 24 hours before / Until 48 hours before. The deadline is written on the session details' Main tab, and if it has passed, pressing cancel shows "The cancellation deadline has passed, so this can't be canceled. Please contact the host."

At the venue you can enter right away via the QR code or join ID, even without an account.

From the QR code

1. Scan the QR code on the venue's monitor or flyer with your phone's camera.
2. The session opens. If you have the app installed it opens in the app; otherwise it opens in your browser (Safari / Chrome, etc.).
3. Just enter the name you'll join with and press "Join". No login needed.

From the join ID

If you can't scan the QR, you're seated far away, or you want to enter from a PC, you can use the numeric join ID. It's shown large on the venue's monitor.

1. Open "Join by ID" in the menu (on the left on PC).
2. Enter the join ID number shown on the monitor and press "Join".
3. The rest is the same as the QR. Enter your name and you're in.
